Sickness, Emergency and Appointments
We do respectfully request that children who are obviously poorly do not attend the club, we will contact you to collect them and that you will agree that it is unfair to subject all the children in the club to any kind of contagious infection.
Child Protection
The child’s welfare is paramount. We have a professional responsibility to report any suspected sign of abuse to Children’s Social Care in line with local child protection procedures approved by the Local Safeguarding Children Board. We have a procedural flowchart to follow for any child protection issues. We also have a duty to inform the parent/carers of the child concerned of the action we have taken-in agreement with the recipient of the referral who will decide what the child and parents will be told, by whom and when.
Collection of Children
On collecting children, a member of staff will sign your child out of the club. Passwords are required for unspecified adults collecting children. Only adults (minimum age 16) identified on the registration form will be allowed to collect children.
Parents/Carers must adhere to the closing times and strive to collect their child on time. Sunshine Street has the right to make an additional charge in the event of users persistently failing to collect their child within the specified times. This charge will be £5 per 5 minutes for additional staffing cover and caretaker costs.
Absences
If your child is absent from a booked session for any reason you must inform the club. This can be done by texting 07724 821254 or emailing Sunshinestreetclub@gmail.com
If your child is absent for any reason; due to overhead resources put in place prior to date of attendance, sessions are still required to be paid in full.
We try to be as flexible and accommodating as possible to meet childcare needs, however, we do have overheads such as rent and staff-pay to meet.
Notice period
Four weeks notice is required for reducing booked sessions or cancellation of sessions at the club. This must be in writing by emailing Sunshinestreetclub@gmail.com or contacting 07724821254.
Payments
Payments are made in advance, payments are calculated in blocks of 4 weeks and are due on the first day of the month.
All booked sessions are non-refundable.
For non-payment of fees a reminder will be issued. If payment is still not received after 7 days, a written reminder will be issued and late fees will be applied. Non-payment after this may result in suspension of sessions, leading to withdrawal of the child's place.
Behaviour
The aim of the club is for every member to feel valued and respected, and for all people to be treated fairly. We want all members of the club to feel happy, safe and secure. As a team, we ensure individual needs are met and catered for. However, if children attending the club are not adhering to these expectations, their parent/carer will be contacted to arrange a meeting. Together we will provide a resolution, ensuring an appropriate outcome is reached.
Complaints Procedure
Sunshine Street aims to provide high quality, efficient and accessible service to parents and children. The way we work is reviewed regularly. From time to time, however, a parent or child may feel that they have a complaint against some aspect of the club, or an individual member of staff. Usually it should be possible to resolve any problems as soon as they occur. If not then you should follow the formal complaints procedure available from the club.
